Dr. Sherri Rea has been practicing small animal medicine and surgery in North Bay since graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1988.  She loves being a veterinarian in general practice and especially enjoys the unravelling of a mystery that comes from Internal Medicine cases and Diagnostics.  She has been keenly active in two professional organizations. Since 2003 Sherri has been the steadfast secretary-treasurer of the Northern Ontario Veterinary Association –a group she holds dear to her heart.  She is also one of the founding directors of the Farley Foundation, a charity that funds veterinary care for people in need.  Her home-life balance keeps her energy levels high juggling her three children, dog, and one fluffy cat!  Outside the home she maintains her fitness with laps in the pool, cycling and of course walking her pooch!

Dr. Karl Seidler received his veterinary degree from the Royal Veterinary College in London, England in 2003.He also has a B.Sc. from the University of Guelph. His career started in mixed animal practice in Saskatchewan and Manitoba before focusing on small animal work in Ottawa for seven years.  He moved back to his home town of North Bay and has spent the past eight years working in Callander.  He now brings his 20 years of veterinary experience to the North Bay Animal Hospital.  He shares his life with his wife, three daughters, two dogs and during his free time, he enjoys skiing, camping, and fishing whenever possible.

Lori-Ann Busch started working for North Bay Animal Hospital as a Registered Veterinary Technician after graduating from Ridgetown College in May of 2003.   After 10 years practicing as an RVT she moved into an office administrator position and then Hospital Manager in 2021.   Lori-Ann is valued for her compassion and hardworking attitude. She loves spending time with her husband, two daughters and pets. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, baking, boating and training her dog Mac!

Tracy Powers is the head technician here at the North Bay Animal Hospital.  After graduating from Northern College in 2004 she became part of our team.  Tracy is a hard working member and plays a very important role here at the hospital – she helps keep the hospital running smoothly by training new technical staff, inventory control and equipment maintenance.  Her technical duties include assisting in surgery, running the in-house diagnostic lab, radiography, and patient care.  Tracy keeps active by playing baseball and volleyball.  When she is not working she is listening to music and enjoying a good book.  She is very close to her family – which includes her 4 cats!

Laura Chorney has been working at the North Bay Animal Hospital since she graduated as an RVT in 2008. In 2014 she returned to school and graduated as a RPN. She has a passion for horses and animals and loves being a patient advocate and communicating with clients. When not at work you will find Laura spending time on her 30 acre farm with her husband Jeff, their shared children and their many animals. Laura shares her house with 1 cat and 3 dogs!  The rest of the crew live in the barn.

Josee Gauthier graduated from the veterinary technician program at College Boreal in June 2021 and joined the NBAH team not too long after.  Although she is a new technician she is not new to the practice – Josee started as a high school co-op student then worked as a part time kennel attendant. She’s been around horses her entire life and is very passionate about animals.  When Josee isn’t at work she is working out and spending time with her 3 cats she adopted from school and her three legged dog Ducky!
